Mana Mode – Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the Mana Mode Limited website and the purchase of products from us. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms operate in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to purchase from Mana Mode Limited. By using this site, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Orders & Pre-Orders

Mana Mode operates on a monthly pre-order cycle, alongside a small range of ready-to-ship stock.

  • Pre-Orders: Open once a month for a limited time. All pre-orders are made to order and take up to four (4) weeks to arrive from the date of ordering.
    If there is a significant delay beyond this timeframe, we’ll contact you with an update.
    Pre-orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun.

  • In-Stock Items: Some items are held in stock and ship within 5 working days of purchase.
    Stock availability is displayed on each product page.

  • Mixed Orders: If your order includes both pre-order and in-stock items, we may ship everything together once the pre-order is ready — unless otherwise arranged.

By placing an order, you confirm all details (including shipping address) are correct. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if payment is not received, if details are inaccurate, or in the event of suspected fraud.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are shown in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST (where applicable).
Payment must be made in full at the time of order.

We may update pricing at any time, but confirmed orders will not be affected.

5. Shipping

  • New Zealand Orders:
    In-stock orders ship within 5 working days.
    Pre-orders take up to 4 weeks from the date of ordering.
    Shipping timeframes are estimates and may vary during high-volume periods.

  • Overseas Orders:
    International shipping is available only by prior arrangement.
    If accepted, delivery costs, timeframes, and any duties/taxes are the buyer’s responsibility.

  • Delivery & Risk:
    Risk in the goods passes to you once they’re delivered to the address provided.
    Please ensure your delivery details are accurate.

6. Returns & Refunds

If your item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we will repair, replace, or refund it in accordance with the CGA and our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Refunds are not available for change of mind on pre-order or made-to-order items.

7. Accuracy of Information

We aim to ensure all information on our site is accurate, but errors may occur (e.g. typographical mistakes, pricing errors, or inaccuracies in product descriptions).
We reserve the right to correct such errors without notice.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including designs, logos, images, and text — is owned by Mana Mode Limited and may not be copied, distributed, or used without our written permission.

9. Use of Website

You agree not to use this site for unlawful purposes, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorised access to our systems.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Mana Mode Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability under the CGA, FTA, or other laws that cannot be excluded.

11. Privacy

We collect and handle personal information in accordance with the Shopify Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of your order will apply to that purchase.

15. Gift Cards (Aotearoa New Zealand)

Gift cards are issued by Mana Mode Limited and can be redeemed for merchandise sold on our website.

  • Expiry:
    Gift cards issued on or after 16 March 2026 are valid for at least 3 years from the date of purchase.
    If a shorter expiry is shown in error, the card will be treated as valid for 3 years from sale.

  • Fees:
    No activation or maintenance fees apply.

  • Balances & Change:
    Any unspent amount remains on the card; no cash change is provided.

  • Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Cards:
    Treat your card like cash — we’re not responsible for lost or stolen cards or unauthorised use.
    We may, at our discretion, replace a card if you provide proof of purchase and remaining balance.

  • Not Redeemable for Cash:
    Except where required by New Zealand law.

  • Promotions & Exclusions:
    Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards or for resale purposes.

  • Fraud & Errors:
    We may cancel or refuse a gift card or order if we suspect fraud, error, or illegal activity.

  • Consumer Rights:
    Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the FTA, CGA, or any other applicable consumer protection laws.
